ISRAEL E-CARD Volume 3 Issue 15 August 1, 2009
Topic # 1 NO RECOGNITION OF ISRAEL – EVER
Senior members of Fatah have announced their group will never recognize Israel. “Fatah does not recognize Israel’s right to exist, nor have we ever asked others to do so,” said senior Fatah member Rafik Natsheh, a close associate of Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas. “It’s all media nonsense.” Not only will Fatah never recognize Israel, but it will never end its call for armed struggle against Israel, he said. Fatah controls the PA in Judea and Samaria, and is the party of Abbas, Israel’s so-called peace partner. (INN)
He recognizes deceitful men; and when he sees evil, does he not take note? Job 11:11
Topic # 2 Israel Discovers Huge Natural Gas Field
Noble Energy has discovered “three massive gas fields” just off the coast of Haifa. This field is much richer, the natural gas reservoirs much larger than Noble expected. The discovery is described as “one of the biggest in the world,” promising that the find would present a historic land mark in the economic independence of Israel.
And of Zebulun he said: “Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out, And Issachar in your tents! They shall call the peoples to the mountain; There they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness; For they shall partake of the abundance of the seas And of treasures hidden in the sand.” Deut. 33:18-19
The translation of “partake” in the NKJV is actually not quite literal. Strong’s Concordance (and the KJV) translates the Hebrew word “yanaq” as “to suck” as in nursing or suckling of a baby. What better ancient word could Moses use in Deuteronomy to describe oil drilling?
Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still, O God!
For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; And those who hate You have lifted up their head. They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, And consulted together against Your sheltered ones. They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” Psalm 83:1-4
