A bolt of lightning struck and strong winds toppled a huge crane in Mecca which then fell directly through the roof of the mosque. Now at least 107 have died and more than 278 injured. This tragedy hit on at 11:45 Eastern time on 9-11 as Americans were remembering the terrible attack of 14 years ago.

Photos posted on social media shows the polished tiled floor of the mosque covered in rubble, bodies and pools of blood, and people fleeing the area bleeding and covered in soot.

The tragic incident in Saudi Arabia occurred shortly before the 6:30 pm Friday evening prayer session – one of the busiest times of the week – causing devastation to what is the largest mosque in the world. … Pictures taken before the disaster show the crane being struck by a bolt of lightning and authorities are in little doubt extreme weather was to blame. … The mosque stands at 3.84 million square feet and can hold up to 820,000 worshippers, but this latest renovation will increase it to 4.3 million square feet, allowing it to accommodate up to 2.2 million at a time. Major Sandstorm in Israel: At the same time, Israel is experiencing one of the worst sandstorms on record for the fourth day from a freak storm that began in Syria. Notice the picture below which would normally have a clear background of the Temple Mount and the Gold Dome which is only a thousand yards or so away. It was taken from a popular photo spot on the Mount of Olives. Below it is a normal view from the same area.

Do these events relate to 9-11, the last day of the Shemitta Year (starts Saturday at sundown), the Fall Feasts (Trumpets begins at sundown Sunday), the fourth blood moon (Sept 28)? Or should they be dismissed as meaningless coincidences? Wow! At the very least, we need to be awake, alert and watching. These are profoundly prophetic times.

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that summer is near—at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.” Matthew 24:29-35
