You may not see this on TV, but one of the dead in the San Bernardino terrorist attack was a Messianic believer named Nicholas Thalasinos, age 52. His wife said he discussed with Farook two weeks ago about whether Islam was a peaceful religion.
“One of the victims of the San Bernardino shooting was identified on Thursday as a Messianic Jew who had a heated discussion with the shooter about Islam weeks b
efore the attack. … Nicholas Thalasinos passionately defended Israel, and actively debated religion in online forums and in person, his friends said. Only two weeks ago, Thalasinos was having a heated on-the-job discussion about the nature of Islam with Syed Rizwan Farook, his fellow restaurant inspector and the man police identified as the shooter.” Times of Israel
We continue to pray for all the 14 families who suffered a death yesterday as well as all the families and friends of the 21 who were wounded. In one moment the festive celebration of the holidays turned to mourning. We pray for the peace and comfort of the Holy Spirit for all at this time.
Nationally, a sober realization is sinking into most Americans. It is a time for mercy. All who call on the name of Yehovah and His Son, Jesus will be saved. Not necessarily saved from physical death, but saved for eternity. Another victim was a father of six and an honored member of a local church in the city. I honestly don’t know how people can possibly cope with such tragedy without the Lord Jesus. I believe we will see one last great revival or awakening in the United States, but it will be from a cry for mercy rising up out of hearts calling on God. Others have also heard that it is a mercy revival.
